The circus as a tool to transgress, to pass from the other side, to cross a limit.
Description:
This circus workshop intends to share circus / game tools with the participants in relation to the political body of the circus and its power of social and political transformation.
The circus as a tool of resistance. A resistance compromised with our bodies and the exploration of the limits. The body as a territory to conquer, in constant movement and willing to operate.
The circus bodies work this knowledge daily: in training, the constant dialogue with their bodies, the need to be present to have no risk in their practices and circus devices. With the food and medicines they need, adapting to different contexts and countries that requires flexibility and constant transformation. The work and the dialogue with the other, both in the rehearsal rooms and in the performances with the classmates and with the exhibition to the public.
The circus as a tool to transgress, to pass from the other side, to cross a limit.
This workshop is adapted to groups of different ages and can be heterogeneous in terms of: ages, sexes, physical abilities, etc.
In the past I have done it in groups of women, in groups that shared different languages and in groups that contained a multiplicity of ages, languages, origins and memories.
